Press Release: The Missing Child Project 2026 MiLB Season

Pittsburgh, PA – March 17 2026 – The Missing Child Project is pleased to announce its eleventh year of partnership with Minor League Baseball teams to aid in the search for missing children.

The Missing Child Project is a program of The BairFind Foundation Inc., a nationally-recognized 501(c)(3) founded by former Chicago Cubs minor league pitcher, Dennis Bair. Using an innovative approach to sports-based marketing, The Missing Child Project produces high-definition signs that feature profiles of area missing children and are placed in professional sports stadiums and arenas.

“Thousands of children go missing around the country every year, and millions of people attend minor league baseball games annually”, says founder, Dennis Bair. “In partnership with Minor League Baseball teams across the country, together we greatly increase the probability that these children will be recognized and someone will take action leading to their safe return home.”

Participating Minor League Baseball Teams for 2026 are located in St Lucie, Delmarva, Williamsport, Portland, Fayetteville, Myrtle Beach, Lake Elsinore, Reading, Biloxi, Dunedin, Altoona, Peoria, Daytona, Tulsa, Jacksonville FL, Buffalo, Columbus OH, Rochester, Tampa, Columbia, Des Moines, El Paso, Clearwater, Columbus GA, Charleston, Charlotte, Reno, Erie, Ontario CA, Everett, Akron, Bradenton, Birmingham and Stockton.

“Minor League Baseball teams represent their hometowns and communities from small towns to metropolitan cities. They support their communities through a variety of initiatives and programs, not just during the baseball season, but year-round. We are proud to partner with each team in support of their community to generate leads and tips for area missing kids”, says Bair.

About The BairFind Foundation Inc/The Missing Child Project

Every year, thousands of children go missing.  Their profiles quickly fade from the news and leads dry up. When the public stops looking, the chance of recovering a missing child decreases substantially. Using an innovative approach to sports-based marketing, BairFind, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, produces high-definition signs that include profiles of area missing children and are placed in sports stadiums and arenas. In 2016, BairFind was designated as an official Charity Partner of Minor League Baseball, fueling a national expansion to communities across the country. Featuring thousands of missing children, our profiles reach millions of people on an annual basis. In 2022, The Missing Child Project, a registered trade name was launched as a rebranding effort, representative of partnerships with professional sports leagues, businesses and expansion of its high school project. The Missing Child Project engages youth in leadership and education of the growing societal issue of missing children and enlists them in the search.
