For Immediate Release, March 24, 2016

Jacksonville, FL – March 24, 2016 – The BairFind Foundation, is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant totaling $25,000 provided by the Jay and Deanie Stein Unrestricted Fund at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. The grant was awarded to fund the initial phase of the organization’s concourse sign project.

BairFind, headquartered in Jacksonville, recently announced a partnership with Minor League Baseball and Minor League Baseball Charities to place their “BairFind Signs” in every minor league baseball stadium in America. As Minor League Baseball Charities newest official Homegrown Charity Partner, BairFind is expanding the search for missing children through an innovative approach to sports-based marketing.

“The BairFind Foundation is honored to receive this generous grant” said BairFind Founder Dennis Bair. “This Spring, we are launching a nationwide campaign out of Jacksonville to find missing children, and this grant enables us to take bold steps toward a successful launch. We have a tremendous opportunity to make an impact here in Jacksonville, and on a national scale. The Community Foundation and the Jay and the Deanie Stein Fund are helping us to make it happen.”

“We are delighted to support this potentially life-saving work that is being originated here in Jacksonville,” said Nina Waters, president of The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida. “The BairFind Foundation’s partnership with Minor League Baseball Charities is an excellent strategy to leverage these dollars for the greatest opportunity to bring these children home.”

BairFind’s goal is to place a “BairFind Sign” in the concourse of every Minor League ballpark nationwide this season through a strategic roll out campaign. “BairFind Signs” feature missing children specific to each team’s region. To date, BairFind has featured 278 missing children at 40 Minor League ballparks, 69 of whom have been safely located.
