The Numbers About Missing Children Matter!

Of nearly 30,000 missing children reported to NCMEC, 91% were children who ran away.

77% of Endangered Runaways reported were between 15-17 years old.

Risk factors play an important role. 87% of these children who ran away had one or more risk factors.

Risk factors may be a result of individual, family, societal or environmental factors. Risk factors may be interconnected.

Data shows that 1 of 6 children who run away are likely to become victims of child sex trafficking.

The average age of child sex trafficking victims is 15.
